Chicory & hummus bites

Chicory & hummus bites
Need Head to the store and pick up chicory, carrot, olives, and a few other things to make it today. From preparation to the plate, this recipe takes roughly 20 minutes. This recipe is typical of middl eastern cuisine.

Instructions

1
Up to 2 hrs ahead, separate the chicory into boat-shaped leaves and trim the ends so that they are all roughly the same size. You will probably get about eight or nine decent-sized leaves from each head of chicory. As the leaves get closer to the heart of the chicory, they will be too small to use for canaps, so save them to add to wintry salads.

Recommended wine: Sparkling Rose, Sparkling Wine

Sparkling rosé and Sparkling Wine are my top picks for Hummus. If you're serving a selection of appetizers, you can't go wrong with these. Both are very food friendly and complement a variety of flavors. The Ruffino Sparkling rosé with a 4.4 out of 5 star rating seems like a good match. It costs about 13 dollars per bottle.
Ruffino Sparkling Rose
Ruffino Sparkling Rose
Ruffino Sparkling Rosé is fresh and fragrant with notes of strawberry and slight hints of rose petals. On the palate this wine has elegant bubbles and refreshing acidity, offering alluring flavors of delicate red berries and white fruits that linger through the finish.Ruffino Sparkling Rosé is enjoyable on its own as an aperitif, but also as a food companion, pairing well with a variety of dishes including grilled fish, roasted chicken, and mixed greens salads.
