Instructions
In large bowl, cream together the shortening, sugar, egg, milk, and vanilla. Stir until well blended. In a separate bowl, mix the flour, baking powder and salt.
Add to egg mixture and mix well. Cover and chill for 4 hours.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease baking sheets.
Roll out dough on a floured surface to a 1/4 inch thickness.
Cut out cookies with round cookie cutter and place 1 inch apart on cookie sheets.
Bake 18 to 20 minutes until lightly colored. Cool on wire racks.
