Instructions
Preheat oven to 325F. Line bottom of 9-inch round cake pan with parchment paper; spray with cooking spray.
Sprinkle brown sugar evenly on bottom of pan. Arrange pear slices evenly over sugar; set aside.
Mix flour, baking soda and 1/2 tsp. of the cloves; set aside. Beat butter and granulated sugar in large bowl with electric mixer on medium speed until light and fluffy.
Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in vanilla.
Add flour mixture, alternately in thirds with sour cream, beating well after each addition.
Pour batter into prepared pan.
Bake 1 hour 10 min. or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool in pan 20 min. Invert onto cake stand or platter.
Cut into 12 slices. Top with whipped topping and sprinkle with the remaining cloves.
