Mark's Shrimp
Mark's Shrimp is a gluten free, dairy free, whole 30, and pescatarian recipe with 10 servings. This recipe covers 15% of your daily requirements of vitamins and minerals. One serving contains 347 calories, 24g of protein, and 27g of fat. From preparation to the plate, this recipe takes roughly 30 minutes. If you have chile-garlic sauce, vegetable oil, shrimp, and a few other ingredients on hand, you can make it. It works well as a main course.
Instructions
Stir mayonnaise and chili sauce together in a large bowl.
Add chile-garlic sauce and stir.
Spread cornstarch into a wide dish. Press shrimp into cornstarch to coat in a thin layer.
Heat oil in a deep-fryer or large saucepan to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
Deep fry shrimp in batches until the meat is no longer transparent in the center, about 5 minutes per batch; drain on a paper towel-lined plate.
Combine mayonnaise sauce and shrimp in the large bowl; stir to coat shrimp in the sauce.
Line a bowl with lettuce leaves. Pile shrimp into bowl and garnish with green onion to serve.
Recommended wine: Pinot Grigio, Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc
Pinot Grigio, Riesling, and Sauvignon Blanc are my top picks for Shrimp. These crisp white wines work well with shrimp prepared in a variety of ways, whether grilled, fried, or in garlic sauce. One wine you could try is Santa Margherita Pinot Grigio. It has 4.5 out of 5 stars and a bottle costs about 26 dollars.
Santa Margherita Pinot Grigio
A pale straw yellow. Clean, crisp fragrance with intense yet elegant hints of quince. Fresh, harmonious fruit set off by slight sweetness with a long finish full of delicate, tangy flavor.
