Instructions
Preheat oven to 400°F. Line rimmedbaking sheet with foil.
Place rack in centerof foil.
Lay bacon slices on rack.
Sprinkle1 tablespoon maple sugar evenly overbacon.
Bake until sugar is melted, about8 minutes.
Sprinkle remaining 1 tablespoonsugar over same side of bacon.
Bake untilbacon is deep brown and glazed, 12 to14 minutes longer.
Preheat broiler. Broil bacon until sugaron top bubbles thickly, watching closely toprevent burning, 1 to 2 minutes. Cool baconcompletely on rack.
Combine maple syrup and cinnamonsticks in deep medium saucepan and bringto boil over medium-high heat. Reduceheat to medium and simmer until sauceis thickened and reduced to 1/2 to 2/3 cup,about 5 minutes.
Mix lemon juice and ginger into sauce.DO AHEAD: Can be made 2 hours ahead.
Letstand at room temperature.
Stir pecans and bacon into maple sauce.Scoop ice cream into dessert dishes. Spoonsauce over and serve.
