Instructions
Heat covered 6-quart pot of water to boiling on high.
Add 2 teaspoons salt.In 12-inch skillet, melt 1/2 tablespoon margarine on medium-high.
Add bread crumbs and cook 2 to 3 minutes or until golden brown, stirring frequently. Stir in pinch salt and freshly ground black pepper.
Transfer to plate.In same skillet, melt 2 tablespoons margarine on medium. Stir in onions and 1/4 teaspoon salt. Cover and cook 20 minutes or until golden and very tender, stirring occasionally.Meanwhile, add pasta to boiling water in pot. Cook 4 minutes less than minimum time that label directs, stirring occasionally.
Add shrimp and broccoli and cook 3 minutes. Reserve 1 cup pasta cooking water.
Drain pasta mixture and return to pot.
Add onion mixture, reserved cooking water, 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper, and remaining 1/2 tablespoon margarine. Cook on medium 2 minutes, tossing to coat. To serve, top with reserved toasted bread crumbs.
