Elf and Friends Gingerbread Cookies

Instructions
Heat oven to 375F. In medium bowl, stir cookie mix, butter, water and egg until soft dough forms.
On generously floured surface, roll dough to 1/4-inch thickness.
Cut with 2 1/2-inch gingerbread person cookie cutter. On ungreased cookie sheets, place cutouts 2 inches apart. Using a bit of remaining dough, create elf hat by cutting triangle 1 inch long.
Place hat on top of head of 1 gingerbread cookie.
Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until edges are set. Cool 1 minute; remove from cookie sheets to cooling racks. Cool completely, about 15 minutes.
In small bowl, mix 2 tablespoons of the frosting with food color to desired red color.
Place remaining frosting into decorating bag fitted with round tip. Pipe white frosting on cookies. Use red frosting, sprinkles and decorating gel to decorating the 1 elfs hat and face. Decorate all with cinnamon candies.
