Pre-heat oven to 350*Line a muffin tin with 12 muffin papers.In a small saucepan combine the dried cherries, water, lemon zest, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Bake in the middle rack for about 25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out with a few crumbs.
Let cool in the pan for about 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool until warm enough to bite into.
