Instructions
Line unpricked pastry shell with a double thickness of heavy-duty foil.
Bake at 450° for 8 minutes.
Remove foil; bake 5 minutes longer.
Remove from the oven; reduce heat to 375°.
Meanwhile, in a small skillet, saute mushrooms and onions in butter until tender. In a large bowl, beat the eggs, cream and pepper. Using a slotted spoon, transfer mushrooms and onions to egg mixture. Stir in cheese and bacon.
Pour into crust. Cover edges loosely with foil.
Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a knife inserted near the center comes out clean.
Let stand for 5 minutes before cutting.
