Fish In A Vegetable Patch
Fish In It works well as a pretty expensive main course. If you have salt, halibut fillets, lemon, and a few other ingredients on hand, you can make it. To use up the lemon you could follow this main course with the Lemon Shortbread Cookies with Lemon Icing
Instructions
In a small sauce pan, combine the tomato sauce, celery, green pepper, onion, carrots, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce and salt. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer, covered, for 5 minutes.
Spoon vegetable mixture into a shallow 1 1/2 quart baking dish.
Place fish filets over vegetables and spoon some of the sauce over the fish.
Bake, uncovered, at 400 degrees F (205 degrees C) for about 15 minutes or until fish flakes with a fork.
Garnish with lemon twists and chopped celery.
Recommended wine: Pinot Grigio, Gruener Veltliner, Pinot Noir
Fish can be paired with Pinot Grigio, Gruener Veltliner, and Pinot Noir. Fish is as diverse as wine, so it's hard to pick wines that go with every fish. A crisp white wine, such as a pinot grigio or Grüner Veltliner, will suit any delicately flavored white fish. Meaty, strongly flavored fish such as salmon and tuna can even handle a light red wine, such as a pinot noir. The FitVine Wine Pinot Grigio with a 4.4 out of 5 star rating seems like a good match. It costs about 18 dollars per bottle.

This slightly dry white wine is clear in color. It's clean, crisp, great tasting with floral notes on the nose and flavors of green apple and a hint of citrus. Finish is fresh.Enjoy tonight without sacrificing tomorrow.
