Let cool, then finely chop and transfer to a bowl.
Add the cayenne, lemon juice, honey, roasted red pepper, walnut oil, 1 tablespoon olive oil and 2 tablespoons parsley.
Add 1/2 teaspoon salt and black pepper to taste and toss to combine. (The relish can be made up to 1 day ahead; cover and refrigerate.)
Make the salmon: Raise the oven temperature to 425 degrees F.
Combine the remaining 1 tablespoon olive oil and 2 tablespoons parsley, the chives, lemon zest, 1/2 teaspoon salt, and black pepper to taste in a bowl. Rub the herb mixture all over the salmon.
Lay skin-side down in a baking dish and roast until just cooked through, 12 to 14 minutes.
Let rest 5 minutes, then transfer to a platter and top with the walnut-pepper relish.
Recommended wine: Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Sauvignon Blanc
Salmon on the menu? Try pairing with Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Sauvignon Blanc. To decide on white or red, you should consider your seasoning and sauces. Chardonnay is a great friend to buttery, creamy dishes, while sauvignon blanc can complement herb or citrus-centric dishes. A light-bodied, low-tannin red such as the pinot noir goes great with broiled or grilled salmon. You could try Trentadue La Storia Chardonnay. Reviewers quite like it with a 4.3 out of 5 star rating and a price of about 25 dollars per bottle.

Trentadue La Storia Chardonnay
The 2014 Chardonnay, Sonoma Coast, is typical for the variety with aromas of apples, white peaches and citrus. With longer time in the glass nuanced aromas of nutmeg, slight toast and vanilla come to play along with suggestion of pineapple and ripe Meyer lemons. The mouth feel is crisp and restrained with clear minerality and purity of fruit. Rich, elegant and beautifully balanced.
