Instructions
In a large bowl, cream butter and confectioners' sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in water and flavoring.
Combine flour and salt; gradually add to creamed mixture and mix well. Stir in walnuts.
Roll into 1-in. balls; flatten to 1/2 in. thickness with a fork.
Place 2 in. apart on ungreased baking sheets.
Bake at 350° for 10-12 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool on wire racks.
For frosting, in a small bowl, beat the butter, confectioners' sugar, cream and flavoring until smooth. Frost cookies.
Sprinkle with additional walnuts if desired.
