Instructions
In a large skillet, cook beef and onion over medium heat until meat is no longer pink; drain. Stir in the soups, beans and mushrooms. Simmer, uncovered, until heated through.
Meanwhile, combine hot mashed potatoes, egg, salt and pepper.
Spread onto the bottom and up the sides of a greased 13-in. x 9-in. baking dish or two greased 9-in. pie plates. Spoon beef mixture into potato crust.
Bake at 350° for 45-50 minutes or until lightly browned.
Sprinkle with french-fried onions and cheese.
Bake for 5 minutes or until cheese is melted.
