Whisk soy sauce, sugar, rice wine vinegar, garlic, and 1 tablespoon sesame seeds in a bowl; pour into a resealable plastic bag.
Add beef, coat with marinade, squeeze out excess air, and seal bag. Marinate beef in the refrigerator overnight.
