Tuna Mac
Tuna Mac requires about 50 minutes from start to finish. This recipe serves 4. One serving contains 482 calories, 24g of protein, and 22g of fat. It is a good option if you're following a pescatarian diet. It works well as a rather inexpensive main course. Head to the store and pick up bread crumbs, mushrooms, margarine, and a few other things to make it today. To use up the milk you could follow this main course with the Milky Way Brownie Bites as a dessert.
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
Bring water to boil in a saucepan. Cook macaroni at a boil, stirring occasionally, until tender, 7 to 8 minutes; drain.
Return macaroni to the saucepan. Stir cheese sauce mixture from the packet, margarine, and milk into the macaroni until the margarine melts and the macaroni is evenly coated in sauce.
Add tuna and mushrooms; stir.
Pour macaroni mixture into a small casserole dish; top with bread crumbs.
Bake in preheated oven until hot, about 30 minutes.
Recommended wine: Merlot, Pinot Noir, Rose Wine
Merlot, Pinot Noir, and rosé Wine are my top picks for Tuna. Though fish is often paired with white wine, 'meatier' fish like tuna can absolutely go with red wine. A Rosé will also pair nicely, particularly if your tunan is prepared with ingredients better suited to a white wine. You could try Four Brix Winery Paso Robles Sangiovese, Cab, Merlot "Scosso" Blend. Reviewers quite like it with a 5 out of 5 star rating and a price of about 40 dollars per bottle.
Four Brix Winery Paso Robles Sangiovese, Cab, Merlot "Scosso" Blend
A Californian "Super Tuscan" of Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot is a full-gallup ride for the senses. Concentrated aroma of raspberries and blackberries with tobacco and spice give a warm bold nose to this blend. Raspberry and espresso on the palate are balanced by full tannins and rounded by hints of pepper and vanilla with a sweet berry finish.
