In a large nonstick skillet, brown pork chops in butter on both sides.
Add onion mixture; bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, for 8-10 minutes or until a meat thermometer reads 160°, turning chops once.
Remove pork and keep warm. Discard cloves. Stir cornstarch mixture into pan juices. Bring to a boil; cook and stir for 1-2 minutes or until thickened. Stir in oranges.
Recommended wine: Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Riesling
Pork Chops can be paired with Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Riesling. Chardonnay suits simple chops or chops in a butter or cream sauce, dry riesling complements sweet additions like honey mustard or apples, and pinot noir is a safe bet for pork dishes in general. The Jimmy John's Vin De Sandwich Pinot Noir with a 4.7 out of 5 star rating seems like a good match. It costs about 30 dollars per bottle.
Jimmy John's Vin De Sandwich Pinot Noir
